Transporting medication for animals | De Ridder Packaging

Transporting medication for animals

One of our customers is a wholesaler in the field of animal medications. Before becoming our customer, they used to use a chilled van for the transport of the medication. The disadvantages of this method were a lack of flexibility and high costs per transport run.

Finding an appropriate solution together

Our customer was looking for a solution which would keep the quality of the cooling at the same high level and reduce the costs. We worked together with the customer to come up with a suitable solution for their transport problem. The medication is now being sent by post. This has been made possible by the use of thick-walled EPS boxes, combined with gel packs and an absorption mat. These absorption mats are compulsory for the transport of certain medicines.

Our EPS boxes are ultimately suitable for transporting medicines. This is because the boxes are insulating and therefore keep the goods cool and dry. You can keep your goods optimally chilled in combination with gel packs and subsequently safely transport them. We can offer various variants of the gel packs: there’s a gel pack for every situation. This allowed us to help our customer to find a suitable solution.

This new solution ensures the medication will, on average, get to the animals which need them faster, without compromising on the quality of the cooling.
